What to look for in an auction record

More appearances is not automatically disqualifying, but each one is a question: why did a previous buyer pass? Look for a plausible answer before you bid.
Damage description changes
Compare the damage reported at each prior appearance to today's listing. Damage that grew between sales is a red flag; damage that shrank without a documented repair is a bigger one.
Gap between listings
A rapid relisting — days or weeks — suggests a buyer backed out after a closer look. A long gap between older listings is less urgent but still worth understanding.
Conflicts with the current listing
Any detail in a prior record that the current listing contradicts without explanation deserves investigation before money changes hands.
